APCUG’s FREE 2014 Spring Virtual Technology Conference (VTC) will be held on Saturday, May 3, from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm Eastern Time. The sessions are 50 minutes in length and offer attendees the opportunity to ask questions via a chat window. Paul will be discussing the implications of the Heartbleed security bug in OpenSSL.

Heartbleed is a security bug or programming error in popular versions of OpenSSL, software code that encrypts and protects the privacy of your password, banking information and other sensitive data you type into a “secure” website such as Canada Revenue Agency or Yahoo Mail.

The annual APCUG Digital Photo Contest is open to our members. If you are a member who takes great digital photos, let’s show the world!

Contest Rules

  • The contest is open to all current APCUG member groups.
  • All entries must be received by August 26, 2013.
  • Winners will be announced at the 2013 APCUG/DMA-NASAC Ohio Regional Computer Conference on Digital Technology. The conference will be held September 13, 14, and 15 and is being co-hosted by APCUG and the DMA (Dayton Microcomputer Association) and NASAC user groups of Dayton and Xenia, Ohio.
